Poetry: Riled and Ravaged

wilt and ooze, the sore it seeps
they abandon the masses and slaughter us like sheeps

rank the rot and deem them frauds
unveil the famine, expose the facades

amass the ailing, expel the bloated
foster the hope and revive the corroded

bestow the cash and champion the aid
authorize the payments, reward the unpaid

shelter the powerless, protect the common
demand the virtuous, honor the forgotten

exposed and vast, we hunger—we riot
riled and ravaged, a collective defiance

plunder the fuckers and reduce them to ash
dismantle their authority and inflict the lash.
