unashamed in light
simmered and lingered
unapologetic in fight
endured and survived
suffering untreated
angry and lost
an exception undefeated
whispered and withered
taming the wildness
graced by devotion
brooding in blindness
a love exposed
an emotion rare
a soul ravaged
courage stripped bare
rising thru the ashes
penetrating the throes
ascending thru shadows
benign hope arose
