Poetry: The Sea of Solitude

All alone and totally free
I stand and stare out at the sea
The softness of sand between my toes
The just-right breeze that tickles my nose

The feeling of the sun as it covers my face
The sand giving way in a never-ending chase
The rush of the water as it touches my feet
The coolness it supplies me in release of the heat

I raise my arms and smile at the sky
In jubilation of times gone by
Of many a many a wonderful memory
The sea of solitude has been most heavenly.
